About Green Valley Growers

In North Hollywood, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in California, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 7 am–4 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Green Valley Growers at (818) 473-5879; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is gvgrowers.net, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 48 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded plant nurseries in North Hollywood.

On July 20th, I bought 32 Bougainvillea plants at $45.00 each. The next day, when my gardener was planting them after pulling them out of their containers, he noticed that a few had roots and told me he would try to plant them. However, he didn't have any guarantee that they would survive. Today, I went to my property and found that three white Bougainvillea were completely dried out. So I called Eric and asked him to replace them. He told me that they didn't have a replacement warranty. I believe any honest business should honor their products for at least 30 days, whether there's a warranty or not. On top of that, his invoice is just a small piece of paper without his name or contact information, and no policies included. Not much of an invoice. I thought I had found a place where I could do business for a long time, but I guess I was wrong. Please be careful when buying from here.

Now this is a plant nursery. This place is huge, has a large variety of plants, is organized, and easy to walk around. We bought 13 plants for a surprisingly low cost — I’m actually shocked as to what little we paid for the 13 plants we bought ranging from $14-$20. We will definitely be back to complete our yard.

Best selection in SFV and the plants are very healthy. I've gone to them for a year now, it's the only place I'll go now. They'll even call in orders for things they don't have.
